Sister Sitters of Chattanooga was started by Sarah Ward and Anna Meiners in 2017. We started it as a light-hearted, fun hobby; something fun to do together as sisters. We started with the anticipation of boarding a few dogs in our homes, now and then on the weekends. At first, we took care of friends’ dogs, and then that grew to caring for friends of friends’ dogs, and then we began receiving requests from complete strangers who found us on our website. We got to the point where we were turning away clients because we were both fully booked. In 2019, we reached out to our friend, Emily Sharp, to see if she would like to join us and when she did, we changed our name to NoogaSitters. Our hobby business has continued to grow more than we ever anticipated thanks to our loyal clients and their referrals. What started as a fun hobby, led Sarah to pursue and earn her certification as a dog trainer in September 2022. This has enabled NoogaSitters to add a training option to serve our clients even further. In the spring of 2023 we began hosting Large Field Socials which provide another avenue for serving our dogs and their humans and further creating community. Our business has grown from a small hobby to a business with over 200 boarding clients, 25 graduated training clients, and 36 dogs registered to attend Socials. We want to express a HUGE thank you to each of our clients who have continued to entrust us with the care of their precious dogs and who have referred their friends, family members, and co-workers to us. We could not have done this without you. Both you and your dogs feel like part of our families.
