Sarah earned her dog training certification in September 2022 through Animal Behavior College. She is excited to work with you and your dog to help improve your relationship with each other. You can read about her training journey with her dog, Max, in this blog.

“I found that my relationship with Max improved as I learned how to communicate with him better, we spent more time together while we trained, and he learned to trust me more. Both of us grew in our confidence and our joy in being together.” Sarah looks forward to giving you and your dog the same opportunity for growth.

Sarah offers in-person, private training sessions where she focuses on the following core skills to promote a positive relationship between you and your dog:

  • Life Skills: self-regulation and having a calm state of mind, how to greet new people and dogs, Place
  • Basic Obedience Cues: Name recognition, Sit/Down/Stand, Stay, Leave-It
  • Recall: teaching your dog to consistently come to you when called
  • Leash Work: walking politely on leash using the Sidekick Transitional leash as a training tool

Training costs $100 per session with sessions lasting approximately one hour. Sarah’s Training 101 series focuses on the above skills within four sessions. The cost for a four-week series is $400 and includes a treat bag, The Sidekick, and a long line. Every client who completes four training sessions with Sarah is eligible to attend her Support Group for free.

Support Group is a quarterly event that is open to all. We go on different adventures aimed at increasing confidence in your dogs while building trust in their relationship with you. Our four events are a Downtown Distraction Walk, a Coffee Shop Outing, a Summer Party and a Confidence Hike. The cost of Support Group is FREE for any dogs who have completed Sarah’s training class and $20 for anyone else (with half off for additional dogs from the same household).
