We are SO glad the humans of these two pug-tastic bundles of squished face roly-poly-ness found NoogaSitters and let us watch them when they travel. Betty is an old lady and spends much of her day snoozing. It takes her a while to wake up (because she can’t hear very well) and she definitely needs a little extra time to walk to the door…the old hips don’t move like they used to. But she gets around and her owners very accurately described her as a couch pug-tato. My favorite part of her though, is the fact that she can’t fit her tongue in her mouth. Every time I look at her, I smile. And even though Ollie is also old, he would get out and run around with the big dogs, barking at whatever dogs bark at. But what he doesn’t know, is that his bark sounds muffled so no creature on the other side of the fence felt threatened in any way. No one knows why, but his bark literally sounds like he is barking into a pillow. It’s so funny. After being big and bad (and muffled) in the backyard, he would slip away for some introvert time on the dog bed we keep under the coffee table. When he saw us getting his food out, he would jump and down by the door and howl…his humans describe him accurately as Frank Sinatra in dog form and we enjoyed his “show” every morning and night at meal time. I wish I had better pug puns, because it only seems right to say “pug” as often as possible when you look at them. But I will work on it and do my best to come up with more for future posts. For now though, I can say with confidence that they are pug-tasitc and make a pug-rific addition to our NoogaSitters’ pack!
