Chess-man, Chesseroni, Chesher, Noodle. Any and all of those names belong to that wet little nose right there…Chester is basically a cousin-dog at this point. We love having him here. we’ve written about him before, but since it’s been a couple of years, I thought he deserved another post. Given the opportunity, Chester can be found about 4 inches from your face and you can almost hear his thoughts. He will put a paw on each shoulder, put his nose directly in front of yours, and stare at you until you ask him what he wants. He feels like a fifth child at times, because he just loves quality time- a pat here and there won’t cut it for this lover-pup. He wants your undivided attention, and for the love of all that is good, sit down and hold him! He loves chasing the mean squirrel in our backyard and letting me know when the mail-lady has come. Because of his owner’s job, we sometimes get to watch Chester for extended periods of time and love how he enters our family so effortlessly. He doesn’t even say goodbye to his owner sometimes, but she is a good sport and laughs about it! We love you Chess-man!
